Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just bought a 235 to replace my old 205. Very pleased with it, but do miss the virtual partner from the 205.
Just a note regarding the Samsung Galaxy J3 mentioned on last page - the problems are with the 2016 version. I have a 2017 J3 and it works fine.

There is a virtual pacer app which may satisfy your requirements...though it looks like a fixed pace rather than a comparison to a previous run which I think the virtual partner was (I previously had a 610 but never used that feature).

It's the comparison to a previous run that I really liked - it's the value of taking into account expected pace changes due to terrain, rather than a fixed pace.

Fair enough - I can see how that could be useful though I never used it! I do sometimes make a note of time checks at fixed points (mostly for cycling where I do a regular hilly time trial). Most of my races are flat roads and (hopefully) flat pace :-)
