The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

So weeding would be a kind of Dis-favourites / Unwatched threads?

Not sure I'd use it myself but I can see that it would be appealing to some people.

Decided against going with that, then? I have at least one I'd blank.

Though I'd rather have a full forum search :-). Maybe it could be a secondary option, after the initial search, to reduce processor time?

I long ago weeded out Races, Injuries, Training and that London Marathon (does it still go on? ;)). One of the (many) good things about fetch is it's a very broad church and it's very easy to block off content in which you have no interest (mostly running related in my case atm muppet)
