Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

One interval session per week, and make one run gradually longer until you're up to 15 miles. Also, ditch the junk miles at 7:45, you should be running at a more comfortable pace than that when you're not doing intervals. Probably 8:30 at best, certainly no faster than 8. That's quicker than I do my easy running!

Yes thanks. The first part of the plan is top stop this crazy 5 mile a day minimum (yesterday was 1 year so that's it). I'm still going to run every day but I want to spend December adding mileage so that I can comfortably run 10-12 miles by early Jan. Then I'll carry on with one long run a week and try to summon up the courage to join the interval session at the Meadows on a Tuesday night. That's 5 reps at 6 min intervals. I'm also planning to join Edinburgh Athletics endurance section which does a 7-8 miler on a Wednesday night at 8:30 pace. The rest of the week will be spent doing 3-6 milers at a slower pace and maybe do a Parkrun or two in Jan and Feb.

sounds good, hopefully the variation in pace/ distance will help a lot. Keep us updated on your progress (and congrats on 1year of 5milers - that an awesome achievement)
