Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I made a couple of poor choices but looking at the analysis it was pretty close and I had my best accuracy in ages of 84% to your 94%. Well played.

Going back tk our previous game BanjoBax, does the opening you used have a name? I could do with looking it up, even if only to recognise and mount a defence next time! Need to know how to defend that pawn attack on the outside rank!

I was playing a Jobava London as white, a newish variant of the London system, TBH only know the basics myself.

Ginger GM has a good intro here ( pawn

advance about half way through)

There's a lot of anti London and possibly some anti Jobava stuff on YouTube, if you want to invest the time.

Simply I'd say consider blocking the h pawn with your own and keeping an eye on the position of minor pieces, as white aims to have the majority and advantage on the kingside. Also consider counter attack in centre or Q side.

Or check out what the higher division folk did to block me out with little difficulty in their games last month.

Thanks! I haven't really got time or inclination to do lots of study, but my basic principles aren't holding up so well as everyone else is improving! When someone throws a more advanced opening I do try and look it up though.

Crikey, I did a Ginger GM YouTube the other day and it was fuzzy and ancient, he kept going on about "this dvd". He looks very different now!
