You usually get a message, but unfortunately I don't think it shows up on the app?

After a bit of a see-saw middle game I think I’m close to bagging another point in the Uckfield match. “Close” in 3 day chess may still take a while of course ![]() |

Cheeky’s Dad
Noob question: looking to get into chess but don’t have anyone to play against except my son who would just thrash me. Where best to start - chess.com and work up? Any other suggestions? I did play a few casual games as a kid so not a total beginner but haven’t played for years

There are also plenty of lessons available on chess.com, and whilst there you should join the Fetch group chess.com

Join a tournament on chess.com. I wasn’t sure how they worked but joined a couple which matched my rating and it certainly sharpens the game. Surprisingly in last 6 of 140 in one tournament. One thing I have noted is how much higher your rating goes outside of playing just the fetch players.

Treborstreet, I have been a member of chess.com for a number of years, and have yet to work out how tournaments work🤔🙄 Supposed to be in a Fetch tournament: played what games where there and have no idea how to progress to the next round - if there us one 🤔😯😂 |

Boffin If you go to Play on the App, there’s a Tournaments button the right hand side and then choose Daily, you’ll see loads of tournaments and it’s a case of finding one that matches your rating etc. Good Luck!
