I have spent many seconds lovingly handcrafting a training plan to build me up to a November half marathon (as part of a hopeful build-up to VLM) - and I would like to let you lovely people look at it and - I may regret this - give me feedback. Can you see it already if you look at my profile, or is there an easy way of making it visible? There is an option to share it with other people, but that seems to be about publishing it... I'd still need to be able to change it, obviously.

Hello - I think your buddies can poke around and see all your training, if you've given them permission, and any plan you have in place. Non-buddies can't.

I was hoping for something more global. I've gone for the Share your Plan option, and it now appears on the training plans list, at the bottom. Anyone fancy having a look and telling me what you think? Unfortunately the first couple of sessions include the splits data etc of the sessions I've already done this week - sorry about that. It's based on 4 runs and 2 weights sessions a week - total and long run mileage gradually increasing, but alternating a hard week with an easier week, and having an even easier week every 4 weeks. There's also a speed session once a fortnight, alternating Fartlek and Tempo. The races on Saturdays are Parkruns, so I won't actually be racing them as such. Well, OK, I might have a.pop at my time once or twice, but certainly not every time. There's also an easy week 3 weeks before the race, as we're on holiday then, and OH doesn't like it when I spend all my time running.... |

Nope, still not visible. Might be best to ask for volunteers, and add them as buddies. From your description, it sounds like a good plan - but I'd shorten the taper - maybe a week and a half ![]() |

It's here: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-plan-view.php?id=253 - any good? The timing of the taper is forced on me by my holiday dates, I'm afraid. I really can't do a hard week of training while I'm away with OH, and we get back 16 days before race day. I've given myself another Tempo session and a long run in the 5 days after getting back, so tapering really from 11 days before the race. |

If you're really keen I think that running over distance may help, so maybe throw in a 15 miler?

I'm sure you're right that it would help... it's whether I can physically work up to doing it before the race, I suppose.

Remember it's all about time on feet and that pace isn't that important (within reason) ![]() |

Probably not worth the risk - it's your first half isn't it? Probably worth training up to 10/11/12 and letting the sense of occasion (race fury) carry you through ![]() |

Little risk, if you take it steady. ![]() |
