Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fab pics OS :-)

I have had a thought about these ideas that I have had. I think the idea of a series of mile events is fab, but I suspect it is too much to arrange for the rest of year. However - if people want to organise an event please do so. As for 2009 - that is when to organise the Mile Series...it is just my opinion.

I think I will go ahead for another Fetch East Mids Mile later in the year - maybe Bank Hol weekend in Aug, or maybe a bit later (Oct) time. With the numbers that we had (50+) it is bordering on a proper event rather than the fun filled gathering of friends - and that is something that I do not want to loose. In the same tone - I would like to make it better - better organise time keeping and finishing etc etc. The highlight for me is still seeing the kids running the 1 lap race - it is just wonderful. I really dont mind doing the work - it is fun (in a strange way).

Awww that's not fair, I think that's being discriminatory :-)

What if I pretend I'm single? Can I come and eat cake? :-)

My thoughts to Barky, it takes a fookin lot to organise stuff. I vote nice and simple, Mile Challenge supporting Moorways Track and Pub/Picnic after.

I'll do The Hulatt Mile too and it will involve pub after or picnic if preferred...

I agree, I think simple is usually good.

IanM how about introducing a new element to your proposed race, maybe a handicapped 1 mile 'race'?

I'm sure Heidi would love you to take her out Barky. You could meet her at the singles picnic I'm going to :-) :-)

CAKE!! :-)

Yes Slicks, I thought a handicap would be good :-) I will do one or two races on the day with differing formats... And CAKE! :-)
