Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I don’t really do cake but that cake looks delicious I will put the kettle on.

Quiet day here, I did a run with my mum after work, I did spot little tiny buds appearing on the hedgerow. It was a lovely early evening with blue skies and the wind had dropped so very pleasant.

I have planted some newt primroses at the back in the food forest and some more snowdrops. These were all weeded out at a client's garden this afternoon: waste not, want not! I split a giant clump of primroses and it made 15 new plants!!!

Loads of newt things arrived today for my newt bathroom (being installed from 19th April). Vanity cabinet, toothbrush holder etc. Sadly one of the bath sheets is missing from my John Lewis order though, so now I have to faff about with customer services. Ugh.

Just catching up - the cake looks lovely and I love the idea of the picture of MDJ for Mr GM. Bet Raffo's picture looks great too - that reminds me that we wanted to commission a picture from Raffo a while back and then never did anything about it because we (me and BaronBR) couldn't agree on what to ask him to do - we must revisit that......

I think it all went a bit Covid anyway, Baroness! Have you spent your winnings? :-)

I think I broke a bit of tooth earlier this evening and have a horrible fear that it won't be too long before I need another crown so I'll be saving the winnings or possibly trying to find a big priced winner tomorrow to fund the crown if it comes to it!

I think I'm a day behind- this thread never fails to make me smile. Great choice on newt of the day yesterday- the joy of running leapt off the page.
Nothing to report here- SweetPea has new specs that really suit her, but that's her newt not mine.

I've had a lacklustre few days- better buck my ideas up!

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
