Not received my ID email so I've just let them know. I can't believe that this way is better than sending out race packs. I know it's making me an additional 3hr round trip to get my race pack on the Saturday. *rant over*

Is anyone planning to use the official pacers? I'm aiming to stick with the 3.45 pace group. Are any Fetchies going to be with me?

In my dreams, Nellers
I'd be grateful to keep up with the 4:30 pace group this year.
Having said that, I ran with the 4:30 group two years ago and the pacer was fab - chatty and highly motivational. She didn't flag the whole way round!

The pacers were good last year although I lost the 3.45 pacer after a pee break at 20 miles and didn't catch them back up. May have another attempt.

I don't normally care for the pacers - it's a bit too crowded for me around them. I prefer to just drop myself in front and fend them off. They're 15 minute increments, aren't they? Which is a little annoying - a 3:10 would be useful as it's London/Boston qualifying time. Maybe I'll use the pacer to help me determine early on if I'm going off like a nutter...

I had a response to my email yesterday evening...near to 8pm, which was sent to work, so I didn't get it this morning. They mentioned that even if I didn't receive the next week's email, to bring in my race confirmation email, ID and all would be well.

Me too. Though of course how that works for people who are getting someone to pick their numbers up I'm not sure

DeeGee - I'm not sure if the 3:15 pacer will be in our pen anyway...

I'll be (attempting) to stick firmly at 7:10 pace the whole way round, maybe we can get a bit of a GFA bus going.

The pen is 3.15 - 4.00, the pacer will be at the front of that pen - they were last year.
