Having said that, I ran with the 4:30 group two years ago and the pacer was fab - chatty and highly motivational. She didn't flag the whole way round!

I prefer to just drop myself in front and fend them off. They're 15 minute increments, aren't they? Which is a little annoying - a 3:10 would be useful as it's London/Boston qualifying time. Maybe I'll use the pacer to help me determine early on if I'm going off like a nutter...

They mentioned that even if I didn't receive the next week's email, to bring in my race confirmation email, ID and all would be well.

Pre-Race for the regulations Fetch Photo, please assemble outside the massive white tent in the middle of Preston Park.

As you look up the park (it's a slope) we shall be congregating on the right hand side of said massive white tent... the information and lost sprogs tent, it is close to the Pavillion...very close.

Post race, we are heading to the Hop Pole pub.
