Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My wife has one of the Alpkit headtorches. DT has it exactly right. Not quite good enough for a nightime jaunt across a mountain range, but for general use they're fine.

Fine for walking in the hills - agree on running though when you need a bit more warning.

Are the down coats any good Derby?

What's so great about this? Is it really bright? (I can't think what else could make a headtorch great...)

Hmm will I be ok on a dimly lit cycle path lined with trees? (dimly lit as in sporadic blue spot lights on path showing edges)

I think it's great value. Brighter than my petzl and with the red back light and strap over the top of the head it has better features too but cost less than half as much ..

Well it can't be worse than my current one (a very early Petzel, with only 2 LEDs), and I sorta managed with that in a dark path.

It has to be better than my current one, which doesn't exist.
