How did I manage that? Todays' was a real slugfest, clubrun out with some appreciably slower members, going back for them at each junction and doing some nasty hills = lot of time on feet.

Hope everyone is getting along and keeping up with their goal. Just did my longest run of the marathon/ultra campaign so I’m nicely ahead at the moment. How’s everyone else doing?

Nice work Chunky, Stu.

Back on track after a niggly start and so all is well at the moment.

A tough, hilly, 19ish today helps keep me on the right side of the line. Hope I’ll keep the meter running if London gets canned......

So just reached the end of my training block and it's gone really really well. Got in from this morning's run to find all my running plans for the year are now thrown into disarray. :(
I know there are more important issues but I am gutted.
You can remove me from SDW50 and NDW50 -->> please CW.

Done. It’s not the best time at the moment, is it? Hope people get to race later in the year.

Sorry CW, CW50 and WW50 as well please. Not cancelled but I will be going for the slam next year now. Hopefully things will improve and I can find something to target in the Autumn.

But what to do with this block of training? Go for a 50 mile self-supported run at the end of my taper? Just reduce mileage for a while until I have a new target?
I have booked myself into a local ultra next month but I'm sure that will be off before the end of this week.

Stu, i hear you when you say what to do with this block of training. I am peaking according to my watch and no races to run. Plan to do a self-support 50K in a few weeks as was my plan before RTTS was cancelled.

So how is everyone doing? Is anyone still motivated?

For me, I ended up doing my 50K on a treadmill which wasn't ideal, but at least I felt that the training had gone towards something. I'm not just considering if I run a marathon on the days that would have been London, again, because I have trained for it. I'm guessing it will be much harder on a treadmill!

If we believe the world will get back to normal by Autumn, then 18 weeks before the new London date is 1st June (my 50th birthday actually), so I shall definitely be starting a new training block then.

What are you up to?
