Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Thanks, I do tend to stress a bit about new type of events. I have done a few LDWA things taking more than 6 hours and just shove cereal bars etc in my camelbak and get on with it now. This lap thing is new though and because it is flat there are no obvious places to walk so a stragy of when and how much needs to be thought out!!!

Just relax, you are an experienced runner. Miles are the same even if they are in laps, shoul be easier as you will never be far from support.

sometimes i take jelly babies & flapjack, sometimes I don't ? i take a couple of gels on the road races as they are easy to carry in your hand & can't melt like chocolate.

Just realised today that I can't enter Kent on the day next week as I was intending to do, as they're full. :-(

So, I'm now thinking about Wolverhampton. Which I can't enter on the day either but can book online this week. I guess I'd have to stay overnight unless anyone is driving up from London on the day? Has anyone done this and got any comments on it?

Has anyone got any idea if I'll be up for a marathon the week after Ridgeway anyway? ;-)

Thanks FD. I can get a place in the race easily enough, but I'll have to suss out trains and B&Bs cost etc.

But if anyone knows of anyone with a spare place for Kent on the other hand, that would be very good...
