This was my first 10 mile race and I put in some good training, which worked well on a really hot day on an undulating course. Very pretty and great fun. Gobi and Vomit were lovely. 10 miles is a lovely distance - my new favourite. Watch time was 1:41:18. Official time 1:41:25.
..a tad on the warm side but considering recent sloth and related weight gain, not bad..
Very hot day. Course wasn't as hilly as people lead you to believe. First 10 miler for a few years. Ran without a watch on to stop me getting hung up on the time and to just try and enjoy it. I did!
Too hot for me, took on water at every stop but still went all bambi at the finish and ended up in a St John's Amublance with low blood pressure brought on by dehydration.
Comrades training run at 8mm pace
Whoops, started at the back and moved through the traffic. The course has some good slopes in it which was ideal for training purposes. Not 1 mile was at 8mm although I did manage to get a few around 7:55. Last mile I decided to relax and clocke 5.44. Well, sometimes you have to let yourself go.
A very easy run with no issues.
