Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About Me

Born and grew up in Liverpool (witnessed the Toxteth riots although I assure you I had no part in it). Getting on a bit now so maybe I should change my Fetch name to Oldliverbird. Now living in Glasgow with Hubby and our beautiful Son and Daughter.
Started running in 2010 and became obsessed. Love the long distance, love marathons but after several wanted more of a challenge.

Have recently got into ultra running and long distance backpacking. Hoping to do several ultras next year inc. Thames Path Challenge, and also walk the South West Coast Path carrying my tent/supplies etc. It's 630 miles long, so I'm going to do as much as my joints and sanity will allow me (I have an inflammatory joint condition). I'm reading a book at the moment about a homeless couple who did the whole thing in one go. Think I'll need to find all I can about wild camping too. Camp sites could cost a fortune if I'm going to hold out for several weeks. I'll also need to learn to read a map :-)

Current Status

Diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis a couple of years ago, running has become 'take each day as it comes' philosophy. Managing to run reasonably well at the moment. Hope to build up the distance ready for 2020. I just lurve the long distance
