I do not know why I was in there as Starbucks is deeply shit. The ideanis to speed up the service and make it personal. I found it quite invasive. Not been back.

We have a nice place in hometown that is a coffee bar until 3pm and a gin bar thereafter (you can get coffee after 3, but definitely NOT gin before:)). They do great bacon sarnies in the morning as well!

You can have only one person in front of you in the queue and still be waiting ages to be served. I recently went to one in an out of town Tesco (so no alternatives), there were 5 people in front of me, one person serving and the other staff member was clearing tables - even though there were more than enough clear tables already. I was that close to marching up to him and telling him to help the poor girl behind the counter. Instead I just gave up and left.
