Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fragile Do Not Bend
Daily Mail readers shopping in Waitrose who think they are hard done by.

Specifically a retired gentleman the other day giving the cashier his opinion on immigrants. Or rather what the Daily Mail has told him is his opinion on immigrants.

MrsV, with you all the way on that. Sugar and flour are particular culprits.

Parents who do not talk to their children when out walking but text or phone instead. The poor kids are left in an oral vacuum. It is little wonder that Speech and Language Services are increasingly over-stretched.

re. the 'the' thread. I find it annoying when, for example, traffic reporters or radio dj's *add* a 'the' as in "There's an accident on the Oxford Road' or a 'hold up on the Mauldeth Road'.

Similar to the above I hate it when people don't possessives when talking about babies. It always with baby or about baby - why why why do they drop the 'her' baby or 'his' baby or even add the or a baby. not just 'Baby'.

Finding out that a friendly group/forum actually still has it's fair share of dickheads that read things wrong and make assumptions.

I'm curious, Tecnikal, how did you think this friendly group - containing a lot of cyclists - would respond to a blog titled 'Next time I'm just going to knock you off your bike'?

The responses certainly seemed well thought out and reasonable to me. Crying here and resorting to name calling because you didn't like them is a bit childish.
