The wife's friend who got a lift in our 3 week old car last night who opened the door without holding on to it and didn't realise how windy it was causing it to fly into another car leaving a chip in the paintwork for which the first quote was £357. She's offered to pay but that's not the point. Our 10 and 7 year old kids have managed to get out without causing any damage so far, why can't you?

The fact that Tesco have been allowed to have an Express shop in a lovely old building AND with no provision for their lorries unloading at 07:30 in the morning. The result of this is that the lorry parks on zigzags right in front of the zebra crossing and cars can't pass on that side, meaning that there are tailbacks.
Surely a mini supermarket shouldn't've been allowed to take over the premises with no provision for offloading, especially when it causes tailbacks at the time people are travelling to work?

RS take the number and report them. The zigzags are there for a reason. It is illegal to park on them.

CStar - I've contacted the local traders association to ask them who would be the best organisation to contact. I would be v surprised if car drivers haven't complained already. It's blatant and happens every morning. I'm on the bike and I can just about get around the lorry but with the zebra crossing obscured from my view until I'm right on it.
The cynic in me thinks that Tesco are being allowed to get away with it because they're such a big organisation. I can't believe that they're not being nicked for parking on zigzags.

RS -get the Police to nick them for stopping within the confines of a zebra pedestrian crossing. It's 3 points on a licence too.
Where I am the Council have just refused Sainsbury's a "local" shop on traffic grounds. It would be 100 yards from a Co-Op store which already has inadequate parking.
