Neither of us ended in the ditch or the road or even cursing the other under our breath (I think) so perhaps it isn't that bad.

I often find that the cycle lanes are the side of the road are so badly maintained its safer to cycle in the road and besides motorists need to learn to share better

And when I'm jogging on the old railway path, I'd rather cyclists used the roads.

That's just so nasty. There's no excuse for such filth. Take it away with you and either flush it down the toilet or put it in a bin outside.
