The glare. Yes. Um ... I'm sure I'll find the strength for one of those if someone asks me for sleeping pills. Or maybe they'll have to say, "MY sleeping pills," with a casual air of absolute entitlement.

The assumption that if I'm teaching all day then I'll be ok with giving up my whole lunchtime for a meeting. My assumption that if something is clear to me on the first reading then it will be clear to other educated adults too. Other educated adults refusing to let me explain it and repeating over and over "it is not understandable". Yes it bloody is.

Just from doing Reading Half Marathon: Twats taking a piss in public Twats starting in the wrong pen Twats running slowly four or five or more abreast Twats cutting me up Twats wearing headphones One particular twat suddenly slowing down right in front of me on a hairpin bend to do a stupid dance.
Fantastic day apart from all of them. Oh, and the weather.

Tony fucking Blair, going on about the Iraq war, claiming that we should all bask in his magnificence. The twat uses a different theme with every passing year to justify his arse-licking of George Bush. Proof of the pudding in the eating Tone, Iraq is a fucking shambles. Like Afghanistan. And you in our name helped to cause it.

Some twat on the train this morning -with man bag and stupid looking trilby type hat. Demonstrating that he had the complete works of Bach on his laptop/ipad thing by blasting the stuff out of the speakers whilst having his headphones on. Please settle on one particular violin concerto rather than surfing through the collected fucking works of Johan Sebastien.

The spokesperson from Carlisle Council this morning banging on about how good the Tour of Britain was for the city's economy last year and how much better it will be this year and how committed the council is to supporting cycling in the region.
The same Carlisle Council, presumably, that changed its mind about putting up the funding needed for a SkyRide programme and pulled out after a couple of batches of ride leaders had been trained.
And what about all those pot-holes, eh?
Pfft.
