Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Gunfire sounds here, but that’s mundane

They are indeed! My prescription doesn't usually change much so can normally get quite a few years wear out of them. I got new varifocals last year but with my recent eye op the prescription in my right eye has dropped by 10 diopters so REALLY need new specs! Oddly the left eye has changed a bit for the better too, which surprised the optician as I am right eye dominant and the left one has always been poor.

There are a lot of companies online who reglaze your old frames. Also charities that refurbish old glasses and send them to places where they are needed. Could free up some drawer-space :-) I’m sending a pair off for reglazeing as soon as I can decide which pair to send first. Also which company to send them to - is that called choice paralysis?

Bloody admin and legal contracts
Do you really think I can even read all that, let alone understand it and take it in?
Also, how the hell do you expect me to do an electronic signature using a mouse? And I don't have £500 to give you up-front.
