(I believe this may have come up before.) Also, the number of such who are young people in higher education, often teacher training. Absolute waste of money and, given the ongoing inequalities in access to higher education, depriving others of a place they could make a lot more use of. Whilst I am at it, the businessfication on tertiary/ quaternary education. That took more of a political slant than I'd originally meant.

People’s idea of what random play should sound like doesn’t coincide with how it actually does sound, so the algorithms are biased to space out similar tracks and make it sound “more” random to the listener].

A relative of my idiot brother-in-law appeared on the Chase once, got 1 or 2 questions right, before guessing all her multiple guess questions wrong. And was proud. I cringed. A stark contrast to a former colleague who won an episode of Tipping Point, and managed to not swing for the presenter who mocked his mannerisms (and he bought us cakes with some of his winnings!)
