Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Leaving retractable washing lines extended.

Why would you spend money on something that retracts and just leave it out?

Would spend extra money on buying a 4 x4 and never go off road?

Oh hang on

Went to visit my wife and daughter in hospital today (the latter undergoing a 20 minute operation at lunchtime). Checked the website for visiting arrangements, etc which clearly stated that both parents can be present, visitors and children OK. Upon arrival, I was told that it had not been updated since COVID-19 began and that only one parent is allowed bedside who must remain on the ward. I am just glad I didn't bring our son along.

So apart from a coffee while our daughter was in theatre, I have only really spoken to my wife via mobile despite being in or around the same building all day.

*goes and makes sure the washing line is back in* - I did leave it out yesterday as I was intending using it today ;-)

As a result of the hospital admission above, my wife told me today that there is the load in the washing machine which finished on Friday. Great, I'll now have to do that again before I even contemplate getting the rotary line out.

People who say “missed a bit” when you are doing a job like painting or cleaning. Such wit.

Button flies on jeans. I results in too much urinal-side faffiage giving the impression that the pee stick is very hard to find.
