Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

In a similar vein, having to reset a password on a website, but not being able to use a password I've used in the past. I don't use whatever website it is (I can't even remember now) very frequently, so have to reset it EVERY time I try and log in because I have no idea what password I am using for it now. It's basically ridiculous.

And websites that don't tell you until you reset your password what the combination must be of upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters. If they told you that when attempting to log in, I'd probably pick the right password first time, rather than trying a list of combinations, then resetting it to the same bloody thing every time (clearly a different website to my first moan above).

I feel for you Mrs Jigs, I did similar a few months ago when I washed my work bag and left some paper work in the bag.

I put the bread maker on earlier. To do so I had to swap plugs with a different appliance. Mrs D turned the bread maker off because she assumed it was not in use.

Later I put the dishwasher on. Just now I noticed that it was open but the start light was flashing. The tablet drawer was still shut. Someone had opened the dishwasher to get something out and not put it back on again. Maybe they didn’t even notice it was on?

(Dio - Surviving Aged Parent did similar to our slow cooker*. :-( As soon as we stepped through the door we knew something had gone awry. His response was 'So what's for tea instead then?' Sometimes you just have to laugh :-o ;-)

*Except he needed to use a socket for something and, for some reason, didn't want to unplug the kettle??? He promptly forgot to reconnect the crock pot :-o:-( )

Garmin Forerunner 10 gave up again with three miles to go of today's Chelmsford Marathon despite being fully charged overnight.
