Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bin collections around my way are useless. Dozy idiots were in such a rush they forgot to empty my recycling bin today. Not the first time it's happened either. Hoping my out of hours online complaint reaches them before the morning so they are forced to come ASAP. I find it worrying my council have a specific section and form to fill in on their website for this eventuality.

The local heath is on fire and I would be surprised if it wasn't deliberate :(

There was a petition about the lanterns which I signed... I'm pleased to say the company have bowed to pressure and cancelled.

They're a total menace - a couple of years back a local paper recycling centre went up in flames due to a stray lantern.

The trains (of course)

Check before you travel:

It is expected that the Journey Planner will be updated by 20:00 on Saturday to show alterations for Sunday. On affected routes, journeys may be significantly altered and extended compared with the information shown in journey planners if you check before these times.

So they can't tell me until Saturday night what trains are going to be running on Sunday and where there might be rail replacement buses and the like. Sorry, but that is utter bollocks.

Buses that don't have the right change first thing in the morning and offer up ticket vouchers as an alternative.
