Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Jock, I think I’ve got one that’s one step worse than that - one of my colleagues refers to “date night” with her son!

Hang on, my wife doesn't invite me to date night. Are we doing it wrong?

Ha ha. Yesterday about 10% of the office turned up in fancy dress, which meant that there were whole sections with a solitary person sat quietly at their computer in full makeup. I made the observation that it was just like a sketch from Big Train... and not a single person knew what Big Train was. :(

What's the name for the thing where you encounter something for the first time, or first time in ages, then instantly come across it again somewhere else?

UK comedy show written by the originators of 'Father Ted'. Late 90s-early noughties. As the clip above shows, quite close to the edge at times.

Hunter wellies

Hunter wellies being worn in central London.

Women who think overpriced leaky wellies are suitable footwear because the Duchess of Cambridge wears them.

The uk media’s fawning over the Duchess of Cambridge and how this encourages women to dress like her and act like her.

And so we’re back to hunter wellies.

"There may be a small cost as this will be his 3rd attempt at trying to fit these." Yes, but it will be the first time when I've been consulted about the date BEFORE YOU'VE BOOKED IT IN. We do actually do some work in that area sometimes, dumbass.
