Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I pulled off the A610 today, and just as I reached the roundabout at the bottom of the sliproad the lights turned amber. It was one of those 50/50 calls - I went through rather than braking hard, whereas the car in the lane to my right stopped, as it was fractionally further back. The car *behind* me, however, followed me through, overtook me on the outside, overtook another car on the inside, overtook another car on the outside and exited the roundabout. I really hope they never kill anybody.

Oh, and that reminds me, people who call overtaking "undertaking".

Noticing a couple of scratches on boot of new car after washing it (and it still being dirty despite hosing it, sponge wash and hosing it again).

[I use "undertaking" as shorthand for overtaking on the inside.]

People on side roads who steam up to junctions. They scare the bejeezus out of me.

Not having leave approved because "Potentially that's a busy week". Other colleagues having leave approved in the ring-fenced extremely busy times when we're all supposed to be here. This results in me having no help as I'm the only sucker here during the ring-fenced times and it becomes very stressful.

Explaining something a million times to an old person, only for them to explain it to us a million times as if we didn't know.

There's a chap I work with who I often state facts to. He straight away dresses them up and sells them back to me as if he'd just told me those facts. Weird.
