Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Let him talk the big talk, and smile indulgently and tell him how impressed you are, and then be all sympathetic when his marathon doesn't go quite as planned :)

Could also ask whether he's considering running in costume and, perhaps, suggest going as a Muppet?

There are phrases that get trotted out ad nauseam. The one that doing my nut in just now is "xxxx is breaking the internet" .

like this for example.....

In the summer of 1967, xxxxxxxxx began to purchase rectangular sheets of felt and cut into them with a series of straight lines. When suspended the strips of felt would tumble under their own weight. Xxxxxx wanted to question the fixed geometric shapes of minimalist sculpture and the way minimalism imposed order on materials. As he wrote in his essay “Anti-Form”, the alternative was to let materials determine their own shape. This meant relinquishing control of the final appearance; each time the work is displayed, its precise arrangement will change

Personally I think the real art in here is the brilliant transposition of the shadow of the photographer neatly constrained with the rigid outline of the Georgian windows causing a juxtaposition of the old and the new.
