Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

People saying "Oh well the sky hasn't fallen in" or "Well the world is still turning" as though impossible acts of nature not happening, is any kind of indicator as to the consequential impact of political events.

The weather forecaster on the radio saying that the rain will stop in the early part of the morning at 11 a.m. while it's still pissing down. I think it's time they taught the BBC presenters how to tell the time.

While I'm on the subject, when they're forecasting for the next day or even later in the day and say that the weather "is". The future is "will be" ffs!

Presenters not knowing what tense to use winds me up too. Particularly when they use the present tense to describe things that happened in the past
