Ours is the same as Marts plus you have to have been a member since December last year.

We get 4 places and usually about 16-20 people go in the draw.

We just do reject slips in a hat - we are massively over subscribed, I think last year we had around 30 reject slips for 4 places!

We do rejection slips. I won for 2014 but was unable to do due to illness - I asked them club if they wanted the place back to reallocate and they said no as I had won, so I deferred and will do 2015 instead.

Fully paid up member and UKA member with subs paid before April 1. Submit rejection slip one week before draw, which takes place after the club Christmas Dinner at the end of November.

Personally, I don't enter the club draw the year after I've run London, so won't be entering the club draw for 2015. I am secretly considering a bond place, though...

Rejection slip. Members only. Straight ballot.

No advantage if you haven't run it before, or had a club place before. Sadly (for me). But at least it's not like my XH's club, where they insist you raise at least £750 for the charity of your (or their?) choice.

Have to have a reject slip and apply to the Committee. They decide. If you have a place one year unlikely to get one the next which is fair as I had one in 2010 and 2014. Last year they only had five applications for 5 places but some years they get double that!

Same rules as the others, rejection slip, EA member, subs paid and not been successful in the club ballot before...

As I run other marathons I never put in my rejection slip as feel it wrong to take away a place from somebody more deserving.

Ours is quite scientifi:
* Must have entered LM ballot and been rejected (so we select ours after October) - this is to show that you "tried"!
* Time since last given a club place (to spread it out fairly)
* Time since done LM (to give a chance to someone who has never experienced, over someone who already has)
* Number of times rejected by club (to prevent someone losing out year after year)
* Length of time in club (to avoid folk joining for 6 months just to get a free place)
* Amount of volunteering for club (if it gets down to these things...)

We usually have about 5-10 applying for 3 places and actually, the last few criteria don't usually come into play...
