Have you tried the things recommended here: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/article-view.php?id=407 in the section starting "Could not set the value property. Not enough storage is available to complete this operation"? Basically, your browser reads all the fit files stored in the watch's upload directory to decide which ones are needed, and if there are too many it runs out of memory, and the article describes how to fix it. |

Upload to garmin connect. Export outdoor swim, run and bike sessions as gpx files. Export pool sessions as TCX files. Then open up Fetch, import GPX or TCX files from your download files on pc. Works every time.... for me anyway.

Why don't you just use the Garmin Import function ? It would save you having to do the export GPX file step. The only time it doesn't work for me is when I do a very long run ( about 4 or 5 hors I think ) and the FIT file is over 8MB.

I'm trying to use the Garmin Import function but none of my workouts are displaying. I've tried with Firefox, Chrome and IE. The Communicator Plug-in is installed and up to date. My shiny new 910XT is found but there is nothing after that. Do I need to take an extra step in setting up the Garmin? The import function worked well with my 110. I'm probably being thick and have missed something obvious.

So, you've uploaded the activities from the watch to Garmin Connect using the ANT stick ? Can you see your activities as .FIT files on your hard drive ? For Windows7 they are at c:\users\userid\appdata\roaming\garmin\devices\device-id\activities\ the first part of the file name is the date in CCYYMMDD format. Either the appdata or the roaming folder is a hidden folder, so you need to enable hidden folders if you don't already have that set. If you're on a MAC then the location is on the upload page somewhere My understanding is that Fetch looks at that list of files and works out which ones are already in Fetch, then displays the ones it thinks are not in Fetch and asks you which you want to upload. If you have more than about 20 files in the list it starts getting very, very slow and can time out, so I have to do housekeeping and delete files that are already loaded up to fetch. If you can see the files there in that directory, and there's not too many, but they're not showing in the Import from Garmin page, then best to send Feedback unless anyone else can suggest anything ? |
