Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

According to the stats I’m on a run of 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 3 which must be my best run ever.

I wonder if it’s just been a block of easy words (easy being relative to your starter word of course!)

Going back to the PARER day, this was my progression to getting it in 6. It was the only word I could make from the remaining letters.

Looking at it I see I started with SAINT which turned out to be the actual word a couple of days ago. One day I will ace it.

Looking at those guesses, I wonder whether BARED would ever come up. It seems to me, from the type of words that appear, that conjugated forms of verbs are unlikely to be used. So, for example, I would be very surprised if BARES was ever a solution and therefore I suspect that BARED is unlikely too. Thoughts?

I think you're right, Synge. And words like PARER derived from a shorter verb only feature if they're a recognised noun.

RARER will appear at some point, by the way.

I agree these type of words don’t come up in wordle/quordle/octordle which all seem to use the same basic list of potential answers. But dordle seems to use a different list and I’ve seen plurals and conjugated verbs on there.

A couple of mentions of "the list" here ... I'm assuming it's out there and easy to find. Does anyone consult it when doing the daily wordle?
