I've only run Beeston parkrun once. I didn't like it. Never went in the cafe, assume it must be good?

£3 for Egg and Beans on toast or a Bacon and Egg Cob etc plus a pint of tea, owner supports and works at local foodbank, full of articles and pictures of local people, lovely place to sit by the Trent, it's in Notts not Ireland. |

I've done Beeston parkrun a few times (I live in Attenborough). Unfortunately, I'm not on Twitter or Facebook though...

My favourite local parkrun cafe is LERFC at West Park. But I'm biased because it's mini Nico's club.

Useful for watching Lions tours as well Nico, I've seen a couple of games there after parkrun. LERC also uses it for barbecues and presentations.

We're certainly spoilt for choice in the E.Mids Chrisity. Personally I'd have West Park slightly ahead of Beeston and Dishley has a cracking place as well. Probably my favourite in the area has to be Bestwood though, especially as the run itself is a little more of an adventure with refueling a certain necessity. An honourable mention must also go to Brierley 😉 I've visited a fair few and it's all part of the experience of the day for me as I love visiting new places and nosing about on a Saturday morning. All have their quirks and uniqueness. So far I think the breakfasts at Conyngham Hall are nudging it overall. I've tuned-out of WMN during Covid. I may have to revisit now there's some purpose to their ramblings. |

I quite agree Weath, lots of good courses and refuelling stops around. Pleased to announce that Boathouse Café managed to win, about 1.4k to 1.2k votes. Thanks to all who voted for us, and good luck to Bere Island who i think will get a lot of tourists this year. |
