There has been at least one Snowdonia Marathon which I have done when most common UK weather conditions have all been experienced during the race alone, apart from snow (hail, yes!) - perhaps we'll get a bit of that this year? I know the race was cancelled one year - I think that could have been because of snow

Expect a bit of everything then!, hopefully the roads for travel will all be fine, staying just outside Bangor.
Would rather Snow than rain, but driving sleethail isn't much fun :-), had plenty of that whilst doing the Grindleford Gallop earlier this year.
So mild last year as well, makes clothing choice much simpler.

OK, I'm just off to sunny, cold, windy, snowy, and rainy Snowdonia. My race starts at 1415 on Friday. In some trepidation about it but you don't know what you can achieve until you attempt it. David Fenland Runner will explain.
Run tall, everybody.

Good luck with those massive endeavours T Rex!
(Funny, "run tall" is the shout of George Bunner, former AAA person and old stalwart of my club. Not heard him shout that for a long time since he stepped away from coaching).

Go on then DFR, spill the beans about the mysterious "quad". Presume some runners are setting out to run the course 4 x with the final effort being to start the race with the rest of us.
Is it a challenge in aid of a good cause or just a challenge for the sake of it (both are valid reasons!).

Spot on, larkim, although it seems one person is going for 6 SNODs in 36 hours

So there's a variety of weather forecasts... I'm reserving the BBC version if I get any choice in the matter
(Broadly the more detailed ones seem to be quite similar)

Don’t think it matters which one you trust. It looks like it’ll be Baltic 😬
