Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh damn it! I was in the midst of getting ready for and leaving for work. If Aspects could post a clip on their FB that would be awesome.

Hoping that one of the Soldiers on the Beach etchings will be visible on the Porthmeor webcam this afternoon.

Looks a lovely day at the moment.

Looks like it's way up at the other end of the beach :-(

Looks a glorious afternoon for it, though.

To compensate in part, here's a portrait of the 'British Army's first black officer, Walter Tull, seen on Ayr Beach. He enlisted in the army in 1914, rose to become a 2nd Lieutenant and died in the Second Battle of the Somme at the age of 29.' [Ack. to SWNS, BBC website 11.11.2018].

They are stunning.
The one of Wilfred Owen at Folkestone is the only other one I've seen so far.
