Vixx - I am well outside my comfort zone on this and, like you (assuming your training log is a reflection of your running), I have taken on something I have never before achieved. It could be very scary! I am trying really hard not to think about the scale of the whole thing and I am focusing almost entirely on running 150 miles in May. Later months can take care of themselves for now. Even today, after a pleasant 10-miler, I have still not made up for the missing first four days of May and that is weighing on my mind too, the fact I am not even up with the required "average" line. (Like those lines they superimpose over Olympic swimming races to show where the world record breaker would have to be!) I suppose we will all adopt our own approach to this. I am surprised how much of a "mental" thing it has become already. I even wake up in the night thinking about how many miles I am going to need to run the next day! Hang on in there and take it one day/one week at a time! |

Synge - my training log is indeed a reflection of my running. It is all logged here in Fetchland ![]() I'm generally a steady streaker. I want to get back to regular marathons if I can (did the vast majority before I had surgery in 2013 (not running related) and have only done a few since then) as I had a dream to join the 100 marathon club. I have never done weekly mileage like this so am prepared to mix running and walking miles as I build up fitness. |

With walking, and despite the mental block this morning, I have managed 7.5miles. Quite pleased with that.
