Read the book on mindfulness and hopefully give it a go.

I haven’t been to the climbing wall since December so I am setting an intention to resume climbing in September. It might need to wait until my back is fully better though. I shall think of something else as well. Oh and hurrah for starting things in September. Thanks Sharkie. |

Thanks Sharkie, I was only thinking the other day that it must soon be time for this thread! I have two somethings, already started as well, work hard with the physiotherapist to sort my injury! And declutter or rather not put back lots of ‘stuff’ I moved out of the ‘ now my office’ bedroom, I hang on to far to much!! |

Ultracat. I don’t know if you’ve come across the Mindfulness Network. They’ve got some free downloads & run free on line practice sessions. I did their 8 week distance learning course a couple of years ago. It was superb. home.mindfulness-network.org |

Can't remember the rules now - do we have to do a new thing every day like we did with the spring newt jingles or can we just do a few new things in September? I am going to do a parkrun volunteer role that I have never done before on Saturday (finish tokens - just hope I don't drop them all) but can't immediately think of anything new on days 1 - 3 of the month.

I probably need something like that too. To help me banish fear of jumping over metal (well, fibreglass probably) bars. Need to clear my brain of everything except jumping.

I see it as being more project based. So in effect you are committing to getting something going.

I'm involved with a new thing that is happening but I can't say anything about it. And it might not be in September. But even if it is in September I can't say anything about it until it happens anyway. My earlier post in this thread may contain a massive clue as to what the something new I am starting (along with a few others) is but I will not be allowed to confirm or deny anything about it. I'll try to think of a new thing that I don't have to be so secretive about ![]() |
