Going back to my question on page 285, one thing I forgot to mention is that the text values (e.g. 7G, 12Z) are contained within a string of other text, and can be in any position within that string

Dio - can you share an example? Is the text you are looking for delimited in any way? (ie always before or after a specific character, or the only numerics, or ???) Otherwise please refer to Glenn's 10:50 insight & professional assessment ... |

Well, since you ask, this is why. Incidents are recorded in a database system I don't administer. Incidents can be assigned one or more codes from a range of codes 0 -20. Each separate numerical code has it's own field. However, multiple sub-codes can be assigned to each field, (e.g. 13A, 13B, 13Z) etc. To complicate things further, each individual code has a text description, so it actually looks like (13A. This happened, 13B. Another thing happened...). When exported to Excel fields with multiple values have the second and any subsequent codes buried within the text of this field. At the moment I look for these multiple value fields semi-manually each month, but I'd love to just be able totrust an automated method. |

Not delimited in any useful way - there will be a comma and a space before the next code, but there may be other commas and spaces before other breaks in the text.
