Should my glutes pop when I stretch?

When I stretch my glutes I always feel the muscles 'popping' on my left side. Is this a good or bad thing? This never used to happen until recently. At the end of last year I suffered with a nasty IT band problem and was given a streching routine. I originally thought the popping was good because it was releasing muscles that had contributed to my IT Band problem but am now a little concerned that its still happening. Any advice? Does it feel bad? If it's not causing you any pain, then I say it's probably not a problem.

Not really, I do sometimes get achy glutes but nothing too bad.
