My wife is on lifetime anti coagulants too GimmeM.Rivaroxaban instead of warfarin. Trouble with hoping that the exercise intolerance which was identified during my stress test and with the COVID consultant id that my long term leg "disability" and my age interfere with clear changes! Too bad!! Five miles this morning was.... nice! |

I’m on Rivaroxaban too. My calf has felt much better since yesterday so I’m pretty sure it was DOMS. Today’s 5 miler is a good sign, for you, @steve45

What's that favorite race DQ? Glad the calf has improved GMedals. Roads this morning after heavy overnight rain which will have muddied the usual trails a bit too much. We don't always avoid mud and wet though! |

It's the Balmoral 5k steve45. It was my very first race back in 2011 and we have been back to do the 5k or the 10k most years since. It's a great event over two days with lots of schools taking part in shorter races before the adults on Saturday and there are two trail events on the Sunday. The medals are pretty awesome too. |

Sounds like a super weekend DQ. Great to redo your very first race, hope it goes well and you knock a few seconds off your time! Whatever, enjoy it!

I’ve done 5k in the sunshine this morning, jeffing 30:30 all the way. I really enjoyed it, despite the heat.

I did 3 miles last night - 0.5 mile run / 30 sec walk. It was hot/muggy. I took an extra walk break in mile 3. And it started to rain just as we finished! |

Well done everyone on your efforts. Managed 10k (10 min jog / 1 minute walk). Legs felt tired last mile or so, but otherwise ok. Can jog/run non-stop round my local parkrun, but my jog/run at the moment is my current 'race' pace and 32 minutes is tough on an undulating course. Tough as it is I manage to pick up the pace in the last mile most weeks. Not sure what my target is, but if I can't get faster at parkrun it would be nice if it felt a little easier at least.
