Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Recently I have had a niggle at the back of the ankle near bottom/inner part of my Calf. When I am warming up I feel it occassionaly but when I start running it's fine. I sometimes feel a twitch when walking but it's generally fine. I raced at the weekend and it felt okay and I had a good run.

Long and short of it, I'm not sure if I should continue running with it until I see my physio or rest it. Any thoughts?

Sounds good :-). Do you have any hints or excercises that would relax the foot more?

Well I had this I think practice landing on a floppy foot whilst standing taking the tension out of it.

Are you a forefoot striker

I land on the back of the foot. It definitely seems like tension as my shin occassionaly twinges too. The exercises should help though as physios tell me my body is tense.

Roll the ankle as well whilst standing plus a sports massage. I suppose ease off the speed work for a bit until it loosens up.

I'll try to get a massage booked and stick to constant paced runs. Any excuse not to train on the track :-).

Thanks for your help HOD. I'm glad I posted now.

Never presume medium distance runners have the sense to stretch ;-). Only joking, cheers SOD and HOD.
