I timed my run badly today, as a meeting went into lunch time, so I was coming through school playing fields just as they came out. Worst I got was "Go on yersel", which is sort of positive, in a slightly sarcastic way! :-) G

Saw some lads who were on a night out jogging across a road around midnight when in Bristol, as they came past me I gave them my best Sgt Major style “pick those knees up!”

Running through a local village early Sunday evening I ran past 3 middle age blokes at a bus stop. They started shouting go on Seb, go on Coe. All bit retro. They may have benefited from a liquid lunch 😁. Always nice to be mistaken for an Olympic champion.

I got a nice heckle on Saturday from some young lads who yelled "They don't know me, son" as I went past. I had to come home and ask my boy to explain the reference, but it was clearly meant as encouragement, so it was very nice. Turns out there's a chap on t'internet called David Goggins who enjoys pushing the envelope of performance :-)

While wearing my swirly fetch t shirt at GSR a few years ago, a marshal just said "f**k me, that's a T shirt!"

I often get "you're mental" when I run in shorts on a particularly cold day. Usually followed by a nice back and forth about the weather.

We've all (probably) had interactions with muggles when we've been out running, and not all of them pleasant. I thought it'd be a good idea to share the nice ones, to make us all smile.

A recent one that springs to mind was two teens - one riding a bike, and another one sitting on the handlebars. They pulled alongside me as I ran along the river path, and I was ready for them to be annoying. But they just started beatboxing in time to my running :-)
