I was approached a couple of weeks ago and offered a fixed term year contract at a place where I used to work, to cover the maternity leave of the person who replaced me when I left 2+ years ago. Still with me? Anyway, after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing over terms and conditions, I got the final offer and have accepted it today. In real terms it means working full time for the first time since Sweetpea was born, 13 years ago. So a newt of sorts both for me and the rest of my family!

It's a bit scary tbh, but in terms of clinical skills it is an excellent opportunity to refresh and revisit expertise that I haven't needed for a while, with the support network required to do it justice. I'm already worrying about the washing/ ironing/ cooking/ mums taxi stuff tho!
