Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How many races have you done (according to Fetch)?

The thread originator has said parkrun counts...

Parkrun is a race. You can decide you aren't racing but that doesn't change it. Just because I do XC even if I'm not in shape to race because it is good training (which a lot of people do), doesn't stop XC being a race.

Anyway, fetch tells me I have completed 49 races, all my races are logged on here. Includes sport relief 2006 (mile) and 2008 (3 mile).

Also Phil, sounds like you run too fast.

Just thought it was going off track swittle to a debate which has happened several times on here, which always comes down to "it's a race" "no it's not" comments which never actually reaches a conclusion, just that it kills a thread because the original contributors aren't that fussed and see a page of back and forth with no solution (beacuse there can;t be, it comes down to personal choice as to how you class Park Run), and the people going back on forth on the PR subject run out of "yes/no" posts.

Saying that it can happen because other internet forums make the same mistake isn't really a justification for it in my view.

I'm blaming hippo anyway. Don't think I don;t know what you are doing hippo!

I did another race over the weekend, I'm catching you all up :-)

According to Fetch I have done 63 races,

1 miles 5
2 miles 1
5 km 18
4 miles 5
5 miles 2
6 miles 1
10 km 11
10 miles 2
13.1 miles 5
20 miles 2
26.2 miles 10
33 miles 1

It looks like 5ks are favourite over time but I haven't actually done a 5k in over a year now.
