Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Being a first timer, I am looking for suggestions of hotels in the surrounding area. I am guessing its best to book quick.

Thanks!

Transport from the city centre from all main stations is free and very good so you don't need to be near the start. I'm in a travellodge in Drury Lane, Covent Garden

Tip No1. Don't be overwhelmed by it. I'm used to races where you turn up, park, change, run. This is not like that. But the organisation is thorough and excellent. Marshalls at the railway stations see you get on the right train. Marshalls guide you from the station to your start. Signage and marshalls, you won't get lost. Just allow for the fact that 30000+ others want to make the same journey and allow plenty time.

2 nights in a family room in a travlelodge, same place as last year, with breakfast, £165. Thought that was ok, less than last year and I just booked it without too much faffing about.

Thanks for that.

Not booked as yet but will start looking about tomorrow. Plus will have to look at flights.

Still at a loss which to book. May just book same as you SOAPM, at least you know it is okay with being there last year? You recommend?

Get on the comparison sites, there are loads.

travelsupermarket.com
easytobook.com
hotelbook.com

I've got an en-suite single room 2 minutes from King's Cross Station (10 mins to London Bridge to get to start, 10 mins from finish back to Hotel after race), including breakfast, 60 quid per night.

There's stuff there but you need to go quick.

There's very cheap available if you can stand being in a dorm. I just can't face the idea of that in London.
