Limerick is a bit of a dump but I liked the university and I stayed in a decent hotel the name of which I can't remember. Cracking breakfast.

It was the bit in the bend of the river that I went to that was particularly horrifying. Burnt out houses. Bars on every window, including the big pink palace that I later found out was the local drug baron's gaff.

Over by the river into the city and out by the Uni was fine.

If you just wanted a very quick ride from Dublin Heuston, like around an hour away or less. Where would you go?

Glencree looks like it's on the edge of Wicklow mountains and maybe quite pretty?

Got something to say?
