One of the reasons I never click on anything on the Daily Mail. My rule is always to check two reliable news sources before I believe a story. The Daily Mail does not count as reliable or news.

As for the race, I started with a friend in Zone F instead of the allocated Zone C and it took us 16 mins to cross the line. I did get a high-five with Seb Coe, but the going was tough as it was warm and passing so many people was really difficult. Made it to South Shields in 1.44.20 which is less than 5 mins slower than my PB set last year. Still happy with my run considering the conditions.
Also I was waiting ages at the end for the red arrows, did they do a display over the sea? I was only 20 minutes later at the finish than normal but there was no sign of them..or were they there early?

The red arrows weren't scheduled for a display at the end this year. They did one somewhere else instead which they usually do first weekend in September so they only did the start.

1:46 for me. 8 mins slower than my pb from last year but I'm doing a lot less miles in training now so happy with that. Had a fantastic time during the race and then after supporting the other runners at the 400m point.

Great to hear of some good performances from the Fetch crew. My own was less than stunning in terms of time, but I did have a good day.
Doing the usual post-race 'but what if I'd tried harder' thinking today.

There's quite a lot of chatter on social media about the mens finish. I love a conspiracy, although I don't think I'd love to be helping fund one.
Aside from that, I had fun spectating. Well done to everyone.
