You have to order by post, but they do turn the tickets round pretty quick.

You can get the Metro tickets at the Expo on Saturday. Or at least you could last year.
South Shields' Metro is quiet enough on the morning of the race if you're leaving plenty of time, but you'll need to find a decent parking space. That's the best way round to do things, as the queues for the bus are visible from space.

Sounds like there's going to be a Fetch presence at the match that weekend.
Premier concourse anyone?

is there ample parking at south shields then? What time would we have to get to South Shields to guarantee a parking space, time to get back on the metro and get to the start, put my bags in etc - not too many questions for a monday morning then!!

Welly - sometime between 6am & 7am I would think.
Fluzao - avoid the pasta party on Saturday, Newcastle wil be heaving as it also Junior Great North Run day. But if you want to go, I think it opens at 9am till 6pm. You should note that the Metro Arena is a good 10-15 min walk from Newcastle Central Station, + despite its name there is no Metro Station there. It is named after one of the area's local Radio Stations.

By the way just wanted to thank everyone who is giving all this fab information about the race. From a pussy southerner it is reassuring to get the info beforehand.

The pasta party on the saturday not too bad itself, just travelling to and from it a nightmare. So I decided to pick up the little one from Nursery on the Friday and go have a look around!!! She likes the metro so should be fun. I think it's better at the arena. Easier for me to get to from Sunderland than the Quayside.
I can't believe there is under 4 weeks to go. Gulp.
