Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was under the impression there were 100 or so of us.
Though I believe several called it a day after number 25. I might go on to 30.

Peachy - baggage buses are parked in Claremont Road, right at the top. I think you need to have you kit on 45mins before the race starts, so take an old T-shirt/bin bag to wear over your running kit. It is approx 1 mile from where the buses are parked to the start of the race, just right for a warm-up.

If this link works, it conatins info on The Metro Ticket types & fares. Not sure if you can buy on-line.

I was under the impression you could buy the tickets online.. They don't do them in the machines. (Or they haven't for the last two years from the Sunderland end) I dunno if they wait another week or so to put it on the website. I am getting the Metro on the Friday to the pasta party as the combination of Sunderland at home and the Junior GNR is enough to scare anyone off the metro on the Saturday!!!

Wasn't able to but them online last year - and had to queue for over an hour at the travel centre at monument for a ticket. Then got the Metro for North Sheilds on the day - no queues for the machines, and only about 3 people in total on the train!!! Bit of a waste of time. My brother travelled from South Sheilds, though, and saud it was a total scrum, so I guess it depends on which way you are travelling as to whether you buy one - or get it on the Friday, not the Saturday.
