Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

hi , thinking of treating myself to the new forerunner 610 with HRM, does anyone have one and if so is it worth spending 250 quid on? been using the runkeeper app which is great for training but fiddly at the start and finish of a race. thanks.

Not a 610, but I feel naked without my 310. I don't use the HRM properly yet, though.

I'm using one at the moment - good so far - touchscreen takes a bit of getting used to.

cheers, read a lot of reviews most good, but some said the screen freezes and they crash. bit disturbing.

Had mine since June last year, works very well. Have only had one screen freeze crash and it didn't lose any data. Also have the HRM with mine - I found the chest strap rubbed my skin badly. Swapped it for a Polar chest strap (just the strap - the monitor unit itself is common to both brands) and now all is good.

Touch screen is fine for changing views on the move but a little fiddly for setting pace, etc.

A new guitar will impress the ladies more though. You can't play "boots and saddle" on a Garmin.
