31 teams at this tournament are going to go home as losers. Chances are significantly better than evens that we’ll be one of them. You never know, though. Brazil look alright but otherwise everyone looks pretty ordinary so far.

Too soon to judge, France and Spain also did well in their first games, we’ll have a better idea after everyone has played two games. And once it goes to knockout games it’s a whole new ball game.

But let’s pull us to pieces for not smashing the USA

On results in major tournaments Southgate is the most successful England manager since Ramsey. I’ve seen at least 2 “golden generations” of players who’ve failed to perform on the big occasions despite having “better” managers than Southgate.

He deserves our support in this tournament and he’ll have mine to the end.

Maybe is a very powerfully word.
